Auxiliary verbs

is helping verb

Verb to be        is, am, are ,was, were
Verb to have    have, has ,had
Verb to do        do, does ,did
                          will wound , shall should , can could , may  might , must , need ,dare ,ought to , used to

Here are some examples of the common auxiliary verbs in action:
Do you like German food?
Does your mother speak English?
Did you come to school yesterday?
- Why are you talking? You should be listening to me!
- I was having a bath when you called!
A new road is being built behind the school.
Have you done your homework?
My father has never visited the USA.
How long have you been living in Germany?
- By this time next year I will have been learning English for 35 years!
Modal verbs  are a special class of auxiliary verb that is used to express conditionality, necessity, obligation, ability, and wishful desire. The modal verbs in English are:
  • Shall          We shall overcome.
  • Should       You should be dancing.
  • Will           I will always love you.
  • Would        If I had a million dollars, I would buy you an exotic pet.
  • May          You may be right; I may be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic you’re looking for.
  • Might        She might be mine.
  • Can           I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
  • Could        If I could turn back time..
  • Must         You must love me.

There is / There are

        There is / there are is a common phrase in english.
There  is + Singular noun........
        There is a book on the table.
        There is  an apple in the  basket.
        There is chocolate brownie on the chair.
        There is water in the glass.
There are + Plural noun...
       There are  two pen under the table.
       There are birds in the zoo.
       There are bananas in the tree with the gorilla.
       There are some tools in the second drawer.

Verb to be

       คือ เป็นกิริยาช่วยในภาษาอังกฤษ(ไม่ใช่กริยาแท้) ประกอบด้วย is am  and  are ซึ่งมีความหมายว่า เป็น,อยู่,คือ 
  การใช้ verb to be กับประธาน ดังต่อไปนี้
         I                am
        You            are
        We              are
        They            are
        He               is
        She              is
        It                 is
หลักการใช้ verb to be 
1. ใช้วางข้างหน้า  adjective  (คำคุณสรรพ) ต้องใช้ be นำหน้าเสมอ
       Be good luck in your examination.
       Be quite.

2.ใช้เป็นกริยาช่วยในโครงสร้างประโยคที่มี ing (continuous)
     The student is playing basketball.
     We are listening music.

3. ใช้เป็นกิริยาช่วยในโครงสร้างประโยค  Passive Voice
     Rules are made to be broken.
     Susan is cooking dinner.

4.ประธานเป็นเอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 1 (ผู้พูดคนเดียว) ได้แก่ I  ใช้กับ am
   I am a student.

5.ปนะธานเป็นเอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 3 ได้แก่  He She It  ใช้กับ  is
   It is a cat.        
   He is a teacher.
   Sam is a singer.

6.ประธานเป็นพหูพจน์  ได้แก่  You  We They  ใช้กับ are
 We are nurses.
  They are happy.
  You are beautiful.
